**Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls - Girls LaCrosse Parent Meeting at Creekside M.S.  Cafeteria on Feb. 10th  at 7:00pm to 800pm.  No experience needed, all are welcome. Lacrosse is a fast-paced, exciting sport that combines the best aspects of many other sports. We are a newer program that is trying to grow, we are looking for anyone that is looking to try a new sport or who has played before. Our season runs from March to the end of May. Games will be played on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s and we will practice on Monday and Wednesday. If you have any questions please email me at davedurham18@yahoo.com

**Aloha���� Creekside! 

What:  All School Late Nighter 

Who: All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders

When: Jan. 31 from 7-10pm

Where: Creekside Middle School

Why: To enjoy a fun night of activities with your classmates!

This year will be a Hawaiian���� theme! Activities include inflatables, karaoke, a magic show, cake walk, open gym, games, photo booth, prizes and more. Pizza, drinks, and snack will be provided!

**Please see the wavier at the end of the announcements that needs to be printed out and signed and handed in to be allowed to participate in activities which may use interactive, inflatable or other games.

 

SUPER SPIRIT WEEK - JAN. 27-31 !!!!! This Week!

                                      * STAY IN DRESS CODE !!!! *

 

**Game Club will meet after school on Weds. from 2:30 - 3:45 in Mr. Gordillo's room.  Don't know very many games?  We will teach you some!  Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday! (No video games allowed...)

          

  **Talented ZPS orchestra students will once again bring the giant jukebox to life with live performances of a variety of tunes including blues, jazz, classical, broadway and more. Plan to join us at Cityside at 6:15pm on February 7 for a taco, baked potato and hot dog bar. Entertainment and dinner is just $30 for a family of four! All proceeds to benefit the orchestra program as we celebrate the 20th year of the program!  Tickets may be purchased now until January 29 by visiting ZPSarts.Ludus.com or by order envelope which can be found in the school office.  

 

** Students please check your email throughout the day for messages from the office. If your parent drops something off or leaves a message with the office this is how it will be communicated to you.    

 

**Reminder for Lunch Room Procedures:  

- Priority is to get food, sit, and eat.

- Then you can choose to walk around the loop in the building, go to the gym for the designated activities, and/or stay sitting down to socialize.

-Students, please remember that the commons/open area/hallways are not to be used as an alternative to locker storage anytime, or during lunch time. Please bring your items to your lunch tables with you, or store the items in your locker. Everyone has a locker and is expected to use it.  

-Attention all students during lunch it is very important that you take your lunch boxes/bags with you after you are done eating at noon. Please check the back counters in the lunch room for yours if you forget it.   We will only keep them for a short period of time before they are dumped.

**8th grade Parent - High School information Night - Monday, February 3, 2020 @ 7:00pm 

Zeeland East and West High Schools will be holding their annual 8th grade Parent Information Night in the DeWitt Aud.(located at Zeeland East High School)

**Non-School Lunch Items: Outside food is only allowed in the lunchroom if you are bringing lunch for your student ONLY.

The office conference rooms are no longer available for groups lunches with friends.
 

**Take note....Creekside opens it's doors to students at 7:05a.m.. After school, students not with a teacher or coach, need to exit the building by 3:00p.m..

**After School Homework Time will be after school Monday thru Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30. National Honor Society High Students are available to offer additional help for our middle school students. 

 

**Want to keep your house clear of clutter and plastic recycled?

Send any used or unwanted ink or toner cartridges to Creekside to Mrs. Walcott's room.  Staples gives $2 back in rewards for each cartridge brought in for recycling.  Yes, there is a limit and minimum purchase required.

**Paper Gator Recycling:

What?  Please bring in your newspapers, catalogs/magazines/junk mail/phone books/office-school paper, paperboard.  We cannot take plastic, metal, trash, glass, or cardboard.  

Where?  In the back of Creekside  (Look for “Paper Gator” on the bin)

When? 24-7(drop off anytime)  

 

What will the paper become?  The paper will be shredded and processed into hydro-seeding mulch, lawn establishment products, lawn repair products, cat litter, dog litter or small animal bedding. Help us become a greener world!!!! Recycle!!!
