Reach for the Pie

Seniors: Fill out the FAFSA and win free pizza for a year!  That's right - all you need to do is complete the recently simplified FAFSA by June 30 and you can enter for a chance to win free pizza for an entire year.  If you have already submitted the FAFSA, you can still participate!  For more information, please visit https://reachforthepie.org/.

West Michigan National College Fair

The West Michigan National College Fair will be held at the DeVos Place Conference Center in GR (303 Monroe Ave NW) on Tuesday, April 23 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 6-8 p.m.  Students and parents are encouraged to attend and interact with admissions representatives from a wide range of post-secondary institutions to learn more about options after high school.  The event is completely free!  More details can be found HERE

Michigan "Girls State" Program

Junior girls interested in learning more about local and state government during a week-long conference with other junior girls across the state are encouraged to stop by the counseling office for more information!  The deadline to register is April 22 at 9:00 a.m.

NCAA College Bound Athletes Webinar

Do you want to compete in college sports? Join the NCAA Eligibility Center on Wednesday, May 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for their webinar for college-bound student-athletes and families. Learn about the latest initial-eligibility news, requirements you must meet to play sports on campus, and the best resources for you as you pursue studying and competing at an NCAA Division I or II school. 2024-25 FAFSA

Seniors/Senior Parents: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available starting December 31.  Students who are planning to attend college after high school are highly encouraged to complete the FAFSA in order to determine eligibility for college financial assistance.  Please watch the "24-25 FAFSA FAQs" playlist to understand what has changed on the redesigned form and the "Preparing for the FAFSA Form" playlist to understand the information needed to file.  Also, please be sure to check out the 12th grade December newsletter for additional details about the college financial aid process.  You can create your StudentAid.gov account now so you can access and submit the 24-25 FAFSA when it is available at the end of December.

Michigan Achievement Scholarship Information Sessions

The State of Michigan is offering online information sessions for students and parents to learn more about the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, valued at up to $5500/year for 5 years for Michigan high school graduates who attend college in-state.  Please register here.
